Commissions Guidelines
Thankyou so much for your interest in a personal commission. Here you will find information about the process, pricing, and examples of work created during the commission process. For more examples of commissioned artworks please visit the Commissions Gallery page.
Pricing
Prices for commissions typically range from $150-$3,000.
Exact prices are determined by the scope of the commission prompt, the scale of the surface, and the cost of materials. Please note these are the price points for personal commissioned work with no transfer of usage rights. For commercial illustration price tiers, please e-mail me.
Example pricing below
Tier 1 ($150-$500) includes miniature paintings and pencil portraits (up to 9” x 12”)
Tier 2 ($500-$1000) includes paintings and narrative works in the medium size range
(up to 16” x20”)
Tier 3 ($1000+) includes paintings larger than 16” x 20”, multiple figures, or high detail

The Process
1. Upon receiving your request or initial deposit, I write up a simple one page contract and invoice.
2. After initial deposit and signed contract, we get as specific as possible about the prompt and inspiration for the commission.
3. I provide preliminary sketch options exploring composition and color.
4. You choose which sketch option you like best. And then I provide progress shots as I continue towards the finished piece.
5. If you don't like the direction you get one round of major revisions during the pencil stage (for instance dramatically changing the posing, outfits, faces, etc).
6. Upon delivery of the final image, you pay the remaining balancing.
